Two Weeks of Dance Workshops in Salvador, Bahia. Summer 2009

• Two weeks of Dance and Drum workshops.
• Hotel across the street from the beach in Barra (with breakfast).
• Transportation around town by a private tour van.
• Extra outings include candomble ceremonies, dance performances, capoeira rodas and a trip to the island of Itaparica.
• Welcome and farewell dinners.

The focus of this trip is quality dance classes and cultural discovery.

Dance Classes will be taught by choreographers and dancers from Bale Folclorico Da Bahia, Olodum, SESC performing arts school.

For drummers, there will be 2 weeks of percussion classes taught by drummers from Olodum, Bale Folclorico and Candomble houses.

Tentative dates are:

August 4th - August 20th 2008

Total cost is $3500 - includes air-fare from San Francisco (which has skyrocketed)
